Srs Seat Cushion Airbag Assembly (For Hatchback) -- On-Vehicle Inspection

CAUTION:

Be sure to follow the correct removal and installation procedures of the SRS seat cushion airbag assemblies.

1. INSPECT SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle not Involved in Collision)

Perform a diagnostic system check (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000XFE0EEX.html).

Visually check for defects with the SRS seat cushion airbag assemblies installed on the vehicle.
1. The defects are as follows:
  1. Cuts on the front seat cushion assembly around the SRS seat cushion airbag assemblies
  2. Small cracks on the front seat cushion assembly around the SRS seat cushion airbag assemblies
  3. Significant discoloration on the front seat cushion assembly around the SRS seat cushion airbag assemblies
  OK:
  No defects are found.
  HINT:
  If any of the defects is found, replace the SRS seat cushion airbag assembly with a new one.

2. INSPECT SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle Involved in Collision and Airbag has not Deployed)

Perform a diagnostic system check (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000XFD0E4X.html).

Visually check for defects with the SRS seat cushion airbag assemblies removed from the vehicle.
1. The defects are as follows:
  1. Cuts on the surface of the SRS seat cushion airbag assemblies
  2. Small cracks on the surface of the SRS seat cushion airbag assemblies
  3. Marks from being dropped
  4. Deformation on the installation part of the SRS seat cushion airbag assemblies
  5. Cracks or other damage to the wire harness or connector
  OK:
  No defects are found.
  HINT:
  If any of the defects is found, replace the SRS seat cushion airbag assembly with a new one.
