DTC C2171/71 Transmitter ID not Registered


DESCRIPTION

The IDs of each tire pressure warning valve and transmitter are registered in the tire pressure warning ECU.
When the ECU detects that transmitter ID code is not registered in the ECU, a DTC is output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the IDs stored in the old ECU using a Techstream and write them down before removal.
  2. It is necessary to perform registration (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000XN107JX.html) of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU after the ECU has been replaced.
1.CONFIRM REGISTRATION CONDITION (REGISTERED ID CODES)
  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List /

  1. Check the values by referring to the table below.

    HINT:
    1. *: It may take about 2 or 3 minutes until the values are displayed.
    2. When no "ID Tire Inflation Pressure" data has changed, reset the tire pressure to the appropriate specified value and rotate the tire 90 to 270°. Then rapidly release the tire pressure and recheck it.
