Although the part name refers to the ventilation valve sub-assembly, this procedure is for the PCV valve.


1. INSTALL VENTILATION VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY

Adhesive

  1. Install the ventilation valve sub-assembly.

    1. Apply adhesive to the 2 or 3 threads end of the bolt.

      Adhesive:
      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent

    2. Install the ventilation valve sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      27 N*m{275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf}

  1. Connect the ventilation hose to the ventilation valve sub-assembly.



2. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

  1. Install the No. 2 cylinder head cover with the 4 nuts.

    Torque:
    7.0 N*m{71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf}
