  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

  5. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

  6. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for Driver Side)

  7. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for Front Passenger Side)

  8. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

  9. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

  10. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH

  11. REMOVE UPPER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000KT10H0X.html).


2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disengage the 8 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.



3. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.



4. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP


5. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP


6. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for Driver Side)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.



7. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for Front Passenger Side)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141.Seat Belt.Seat Belt Warning System.Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly Removal

  1. Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.



    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.



8. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor end of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.



9. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Disengage the clamp.

  1. Remove the front seat belt anchor base and disconnect the floor end of the front seat outer belt assembly.



10. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and remove the lower center pillar garnish LH.



11. REMOVE UPPER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Using a clip remover, disengage the clip, and remove the upper center pillar garnish LH.



12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. for Front Passenger Side:

    1. Disengage the clamp.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and front seat outer belt assembly.



13. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
