Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2.
Check that the personal lights come on.
- OK:

Personal light switch operation
Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 6 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 7.
Inspect the personal light operation while the interior light switch is off.
- OK:

Interior light switch operation
Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 6 and a negative (-) lead to both terminals 1 and 7.
Inspect the personal light operation while both of the personal light switches (LH and RH) are off.
- OK:
Condition Specified Condition Interior light switch is in OFF position Personal lights (LH and RH) do not come on Interior light switch is in ON position Personal lights (LH and RH) come on Interior light switch is in DOOR position Personal lights (LH and RH) come on
