Manual Transaxle Assembly -- Removal |
| 1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE |
- HINT:
- See the steps from "Discharge Fuel System Pressure" through "Remove Engine Assembly With Transaxle" (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000002WH607RX.html).
| 2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR |
Remove the through bolt and rear engine mounting insulator.
 |
| 3. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR |
Remove the bolt, nut and front engine mounting insulator.
 |
| 4. INSTALL ENGINE HANGER |
Remove the bolt and wire harness bracket.
 |
Install the 2 engine hangers with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 43 N*m{439 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf}

| 5. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the terminal cap.
 |
Remove the nut and disconnect terminal 30.
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly.
| 6. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 7 bolts and the manual transaxle.
 |
| 7. REMOVE CONTROL CABLE BRACKET |
Remove the 2 bolts and the control cable bracket.
 |
| 8. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH |
Remove the 4 bolts and the engine mounting bracket LH.
 |
| 9. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET |
Remove the 3 bolts and the front engine mounting bracket.
 |
| 10. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET |
Remove the 3 bolts and the rear engine mounting bracket.
 |
