DESCRIPTION
When the ignition switch is turned to ON, the battery voltage is applied to the IGSW terminal of the ECM. The output signal from the MREL terminal of the ECM causes a current to flow to the EFI MAIN relay coil, closing the EFI MAIN relay contacts and supplying power to terminals +B and +B2 of the ECM.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1.INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (POWER SOURCE) |
Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block.
Disconnect the integration relay connector.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Voltage:

Reconnect the integration relay connector.
Reinstall the integration relay.

2.INSPECT FUSES (EFI MAIN, IG2, AND EFI NO. 1 FUSES) |
Remove the EFI MAIN fuse, IG2 fuse and EFI No. 1 fuse from the engine room relay block.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:

Reinstall the fuses.

3.INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (EFI MAIN RELAY AND IG2 RELAY) |
Inspect the integration relay (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM0000033DY011X.html).
4.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION RELAY - ECM) |
Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block.
Disconnect the integration relay connector.
Disconnect the ECM connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance (Check for Open):

Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block.
Disconnect the integration relay connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Reconnect the integration relay connector.
Reinstall the integration relay.

Disconnect the ECM connector.

Disconnect the ECM connectors.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Reconnect the ECM connectors.
8.INSPECT FUSE (IGN FUSE) |
Remove the IGN fuse from the instrument panel junction block.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:

Reinstall the IGN fuse.
9.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - INTEGRATION RELAY) |

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
