INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY

INSTALL RELEASE FORK SUPPORT

INSTALL CLUTCH RELEASE FORK BOOT

INSTALL CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING ASSEMBLY

INSTALL CLUTCH RELEASE FORK SUB-ASSEMBLY

INSTALL MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

Insert SST into the clutch disc, and then insert the SST into the flywheel.

• SST
• 09301-00220

• NOTICE:

• Do not insert the clutch disc in the wrong direction.

Align the matchmarks on the clutch cover assembly and on the flywheel sub-assembly.

Tighten 6 new bolts uniformly in the order shown in the illustration, starting with the bolt located near the knock pin on the top.

• Torque:
• 19 N*m{ 195 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf}

• NOTICE:

Using a dial indicator with a roller instrument, measure the diaphragm spring tip alignment.

• Maximum non-alignment:
• 1.3 mm (0.051 in.)

If the alignment is not as specified, adjust the diaphragm spring tip alignment using SST.

Install the release fork support to the transmission assembly.

• Torque:
• 47 N*m{ 479 kgf*cm, 35 ft.*lbf}

Install the clutch release fork boot onto the manual transmission case.

Apply release hub grease to the release fork and release bearing assembly contact, release fork and push rod contact, and release fork pivot points.

• Sealant:
• Toyota Genuine Release Hub Grease or Equivalent

Apply clutch sealant grease to the spline coupling part.

• Sealant:
• Toyota Genuine Clutch Spline Grease or Equivalent

Install the release bearing hub clip to the clutch release bearing.

Install the bearing to the release fork, and then install them to the transmission assembly.
