Vane Pump (For 2Gr-Fe) Removal

Steering. Camry. Acv40 Gsv40
Power Steering. Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID

  2. REMOVE FAN & GENERATOR V BELT

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FLUID RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

  4. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  5. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  6. DISCONNECT POWER STEERING FLUID PRESSURE SWITCH CONNECTOR

  7. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

Vane Pump (For 2Gr-Fe) -- Removal



1. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID


2. REMOVE FAN & GENERATOR V BELT
HINT:
Refer to the instructions for removal of the drive belt (Link).


3. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FLUID RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

  1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 fluid reservoir to pump hose from the vane pump assembly.



4. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Remove the union bolt and disconnect the pressure feed tube assembly from the vane pump assembly.

  1. Remove the bolt and separate the pressure feed tube clamp.

  1. Remove the gasket from the pressure feed tube assembly.



5. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  1. Remove the union bolt and disconnect the pressure feed tube assembly from the vane pump assembly.

  1. Remove the gasket from the pressure feed tube assembly.



6. DISCONNECT POWER STEERING FLUID PRESSURE SWITCH CONNECTOR


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Disconnect the power steering fluid pressure switch connector.



7. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40.Power Steering.Power Steering System.Vane Pump (For 2Gr-Fe) Removal

  1. Using SST, loosen bolt (A) and remove bolt (B), and then remove the vane pump assembly.

  1. Remove the bolt from the vane pump assembly.
