Radio Receiver Removal

Body Electrical. Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER

  4. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (except 3ZR-FAE)

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET (except 3ZR-FAE)

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET (except 3ZR-FAE)

  8. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for 3ZR-FAE)

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET (for 3ZR-FAE)

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET (for 3ZR-FAE)

Radio Receiver -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


2. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 clips and 2 claws, and then remove the cluster finish panel.

  1. Disconnect the connector.



3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 clips and 2 claws, and then remove the cluster finish panel.

  1. Disconnect the connector.



4. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (except 3ZR-FAE)


  1. w/o Stereo Opening Cover:

    1. Remove the 4 bolts.



    2. Pull the radio receiver to detach the 2 claws and 4 clips on the backside of the radio receiver.

    3. Disconnect all connectors and remove the radio receiver with bracket.



  1. w/ Stereo Opening Cover:

    1. Remove the 4 bolts.



    2. Pull the radio receiver to detach the 2 claws and 4 clips on the backside of the radio receiver.

    3. Disconnect all connectors and remove the radio receiver with bracket.



5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY


  1. w/o Stereo Opening Cover:
    Detach the 4 claws and remove the instrument cluster finish panel.

  1. w/ Stereo Opening Cover:
    Detach the 4 claws and remove the instrument cluster finish panel.

6. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET (except 3ZR-FAE)

  1. w/o Stereo Opening Cover:
    Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 radio bracket from the radio receiver.

  1. w/ Stereo Opening Cover:
    Remove the 4 bolts, radio receiver panel LH and No. 1 radio bracket from the radio receiver.



7. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET (except 3ZR-FAE)

  1. w/o Stereo Opening Cover:
    Remove the 4 bolts and No. 2 radio bracket from the radio receiver.

  1. w/ Stereo Opening Cover:
    Remove the 4 bolts, radio receiver panel RH and No. 2 radio bracket from the radio receiver.



8. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for 3ZR-FAE)

  1. Remove the 4 bolts.



  1. Pull the radio receiver to detach the 2 claws and 4 clips on the backside of the radio receiver.

  1. Disconnect the all connectors and remove the radio receiver with bracket.



9. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET (for 3ZR-FAE)

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 radio bracket from the radio receiver.



10. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET (for 3ZR-FAE)

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and No. 2 radio bracket from the radio receiver.
