Lighting System -- System Description |
LIGHTING SYSTEM |
Illumination control system (Illuminated entry system):
When the doors are unlocked through a key or transmitter operation, or when a door is opened or closed, the illuminated entry system turns on the room light, map light, ignition key cylinder light*1 or transponder key amplifier*2 and foot light.- HINT:
- *1: w/o Entry and start system (w/o Engine immobiliser system)
- *2: w/o Entry and start system (w/ Engine immobiliser system)
The main body ECU receives the following signal (A).
- Door courtesy switch signal
- Door detection switch signal
- Ignition switch signal
- Door courtesy switch signal
The main body ECU controls the following signal based on the signals listed in A.

Light auto turn off system (for Long Body):
With the light control switch in the TAIL or HEAD position, turning the ignition switch off and opening the driver side door automatically turns off the taillights or headlights.
Light auto turn off system (for Short Body):
According to the position of the light control switch, the appropriate lights automatically turn off.- Light control switch is in the TAIL position:
When the ignition switch is turned from on (IG) to off, the front fog lights automatically turn off. - Light control switch is in the HEAD position:
When the ignition switch is turned from on (IG) to off, the headlights and front fog lights automatically turn off. - Light control switch is in the AUTO position:
When the ignition switch is turned from on (IG) to off and the driver side door is opened, all the lights automatically turn off.
The main body ECU receives the following items (F).
