DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the ID code box does not respond to a verification request signal from the ECM.

One of following conditions is met:
  1. Communication failure between ID code box and ECM
  2. Communication line malfunction
  3. ID code verification failure
  1. Wire harness
  2. ECU aggregation box (certification ECU)
  3. Instrument panel junction block (main body ECU)
  4. ID code box
  5. Steering lock actuator (steering lock ECU)
  6. ECM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTC (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001RM1004X.html).

  1. Recheck for the DTC.

    OK:
    B2791 and other DTC output do not reoccur.
