DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the S+B line, which is the power supply line to the intrusion sensor (built into overhead junction block), is shorted.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK - THEFT WARNING ECU AND BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the R8 junction block connector.

  1. Disconnect the E83 ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    R8-5 (S+B) - E83-21 (S+B)
    		Below 1 Ω
    R8-7 (GND) - Body ground
    R8-5 (S+B) - Body ground
    		10 kΩ or higher

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK


2.CHECK OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK (OPERATION)

  1. Temporarily replace the overhead junction (intrusion sensor) with a new or normally functioning one (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001GED00BX.html ).

  1. Check for a DTC.

    OK:
    DTC B2763 is not output.
