  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER RH

  3. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Short Body)

  4. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Long Body)

  5. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Short Body)

  6. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Long Body)

Rear Center Seat Outer Belt Assembly -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER RH

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 claws and cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


3. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Short Body)
HINT:
It is not necessary to completely remove the roof headlining. Slightly lower the rear section of the roof headlining.

  1. Partially remove the roof headlining (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001XUT002X.html).



4. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Long Body)
HINT:
It is not necessary to completely remove the roof headlining. Slightly lower the rear section of the roof headlining.

  1. Partially remove the roof headlining (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001XUZ002X.html).



5. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Short Body)

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and seat belt.



6. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Long Body)

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and seat belt.
