  1. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  4. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  5. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER LH

  6. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  7. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Short Body)

  8. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Long Body)

  9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Short Body)

  10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Long Body)

  11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly -- Installation


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
  3. A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (RAV4_ACA30 RM00000118W06GX.html).


1. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

  1. Align the adjuster positioning hole with the claw, and install the adjuster with the 2 bolts as shown in the illustration.

    Torque:
    42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}


2. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Install the plate as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Make sure the plate is firmly set into the garnish's claws.


3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
NOTICE:
Do not disassemble the retractor.

  1. Align the 2 claws with the seat belt positioning holes, and install the retractor of the outer belt with the bolt as shown in the illustration.

    Torque:
    8.5 N*m{87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf}

  1. Connect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

  1. Connect the outer belt with the shoulder anchor's bolt.

    Torque:
    42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}


4. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  1. Pass the outer belt anchor through the center pillar garnish.

  1. Attach the clip.

  1. Install the garnish with the 2 screws.



5. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER LH

  1. Attach the 2 claws and 2 clips to install the garnish.

  1. Connect the floor anchor with the bolt.

    Torque:
    42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}

  1. Attach the lap belt outer anchor cover.



6. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH


7. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Short Body)

  1. Attach the 8 claws to install the scuff plate.



8. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Long Body)


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. Attach the 9 claws and 2 clips to install the scuff plate.



9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Short Body)


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. Attach the 10 claws to install the scuff plate.



10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Long Body)

  1. Attach the 10 claws to install the scuff plate.



11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH


12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
