  1. INSTALL CLUTCH ACCUMULATOR ASSEMBLY

  2. BLEED AIR FROM CLUTCH PIPE LINE

  3. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL

  4. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

Clutch Accumulator (For 2Az-Fe) -- Installation



1. INSTALL CLUTCH ACCUMULATOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the clutch accumulator with the bolt and 2 nuts.

    Torque:
    12 N*m{120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}

  1. Using a union nut wrench, connect the 2 flexible tubes.

    Torque:
    15 N*m{155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}
    NOTICE:
    Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench (RAV4_ACA30 RM0000018UO018X.html).


2. BLEED AIR FROM CLUTCH PIPE LINE

  1. Fill the master cylinder reservoir with fluid.

  1. Bleed air from the clutch system.



3. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL

  1. Check the fluid level and add fluid if necessary.

    Fluid:
    SAE J1703 or FMVSS No. 116 DOT3
    HINT:
    Add fluid to a level between the reservoir's MIN and MAX lines.


4. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

  1. Check for leaks in the clutch system.
