Clutch Release Cylinder (For 1Az-Fe) -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY |

Install the clutch release cylinder with the 4 bolts.
- Torque:
- 12 N*m{120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}
| 2. CONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE |

Using a union nut wrench, connect the flexible hose tube.
- Torque:
- 15 N*m{153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}
- NOTICE:
- Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench (RAV4_ACA30 RM0000018UO018X.html).
| 3. BLEED CLUTCH PIPE LINE |
Fill the brake reservoir with brake fluid and bleed the clutch system (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001HJ200GX.html).
- Torque:
- 8.3 N*m{85 kgf*cm, 73 in.*lbf}
| 4. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL |

Check the fluid level and add fluid if necessary.
- Fluid:
- SAE J1703 or FMVSS No. 116 DOT3
- HINT:
- Add fluid to a level between the reservoir's MIN and MAX lines.
| 5. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK |
Check for leaks in the clutch system.
