INSPECT THERMOSTAT

Immerse the water inlet with thermostat in water and gradually heat the water.

Check the temperature at which the thermostat opens.

• Standard temperature:
• 86 to 90°C (187 to 194°F)

• HINT:

• If the thermostat does not open at the specified temperature, replace the thermostat.

Check the valve lift.

• Valve lift:
• 10.0 mm (0.394 in.) or more at 100°C (212°F)

If the valve lift is not as specified, replace the thermostat.

Check that the valve is fully closed when the thermostat is at low temperatures (below 83°C (181 °F)).

• HINT:

• If it does not close fully, replace the thermostat.
