PRECAUTION
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH
REMOVE NO. 2 DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH
REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH
REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE STRIPE LH
REMOVE LOWER FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE STRIPE LH
Black Out Tape (For Front Door) -- Removal |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
- When removing the window frame moulding, black out tape and outside stripe, heat the vehicle body, window frame moulding, black out tape and outside stripe using a heat light.

- NOTICE:
- Do not heat the vehicle body, window frame moulding, black out tape and outside stripe excessively.
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html).
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH |
Detach the 2 clips and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish LH.
4. REMOVE NO. 2 DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH |
Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the inside handle bezel as shown in the illustration.
5. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER LH |
Using moulding remover A, detach the 8 claws and remove the assist grip cover.
6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Remove the 3 screws.
Remove the 12 clips.
Pull out the front door trim board sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

Raise the front door trim board sub-assembly to detach the 4 claws and remove the front door trim board sub-assembly together with the front door inner glass weatherstrip LH.
Disconnect the 2 connectors.
w/ Seat Position Memory System:
Disconnect the connectors.
Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable assembly and front door inside locking cable assembly.
7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip from the front door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH |
Remove the bolt.
Detach the 2 clamps, move the wire harness out of the way and remove the service hole cover.
- HINT:
- Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door.
9. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH |
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 3 nuts.
Detach the claw and remove the outer rear view mirror.
10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
Connect the power window regulator master switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and power window regulator master switch assembly.
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html).
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
Remove the 2 bolts.
- NOTICE:
- After the bolts are removed, do not allow the door glass to fall.
Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the door glass.
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH |
Remove the front door glass run.
12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING LH |
Put protective tape around the belt moulding.
Detach the 6 claws and remove the front door belt moulding.

13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH |
Detach the 3 clips and remove the upper part of the front door weatherstrip so that the moulding can be removed.
14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH |
Remove the door window frame moulding clip.
Put protective tape around the front door rear window frame moulding.
Using a moulding remover, detach the clip and remove the double-sided tape to remove the front door rear window frame moulding.

15. REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE STRIPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the front door outside stripe and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
17. REMOVE LOWER FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE STRIPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the lower front door outside stripe and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
