Rear Wiper Motor Installation


  1. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM

  3. INSTALL REAR WASHER NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. INSTALL REAR SPOILER COVER RH

  6. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SPOILER COVER (w/o Back Door Tire Carrier)

  7. INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH (w/ Back Door Tire Carrier)

  8. INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH (w/ Back Door Tire Carrier)

  9. INSTALL BACK DOOR CENTER GARNISH (w/ Back Door Tire Carrier)

Rear Wiper Motor -- Installation



1. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Attach the 2 guides and temporarily install the rear wiper motor assembly with the 3 bolts.

  1. Tighten the 3 bolts.

    Torque:
    5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}

  1. Connect the connector.



2. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM

  1. Clean the wiper arm serrations.

  1. Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.

  1. Operate the rear wiper and stop the rear wiper motor at the automatic stop position.

    HINT:
    The wiper motor does not operate if the back door and back door glass are not closed.

  1. Align the blade tip with the mark on the glass as shown in the illustration.

  1. Install the rear wiper arm and blade assembly with the nut.

    Torque:
    5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}
    HINT:
    Hold the wiper arm by hand while tightening the nut.


3. INSTALL REAR WASHER NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the washer nozzle.

  1. Connect the hose.



4. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. w/o Back Door Tire Carrier:
    Install the rear spoiler sub-assembly (LandCruiser RM0000038KE01IX_01_0008.html).

  1. w/ Back Door Tire Carrier:
    Install the rear spoiler sub-assembly (LandCruiser RM0000038KE01HX_01_0001.html).



5. INSTALL REAR SPOILER COVER RH

  1. Attach the 2 clips to install the rear spoiler cover.



6. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SPOILER COVER (w/o Back Door Tire Carrier)

  1. Attach the 5 clips and fastening tape to install the rear No. 1 spoiler cover.



7. INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH (w/ Back Door Tire Carrier)

  1. Attach the 2 clips and claw to install the back door side garnish.



8. INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH (w/ Back Door Tire Carrier)

  1. Attach the 2 clips and claw to install the back door side garnish.



9. INSTALL BACK DOOR CENTER GARNISH (w/ Back Door Tire Carrier)

  1. Attach the 4 clips to install the back door center garnish.
