  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  5. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  8. REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

  9. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 ASSIST GRIP PLUG LH

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 ASSIST GRIP LH

  12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

  14. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY

Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly (For 5 Door) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
  1. After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html).
  2. When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).


2. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Put protective tape around the door scuff plate.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips, 10 claws and 2 guides and remove the door scuff plate.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  1. Partially remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip so that the lower center pillar garnish and center pillar garnish can be removed (LandCruiser RM0000046JL02NX_01_0005.html).



4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear No. 1 floor step cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and quarter scuff plate.



6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  1. Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips, 6 claws and 2 guides and remove the rear door scuff plate.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  1. Partially remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip so that the lower center pillar garnish and center pillar garnish can be removed (LandCruiser RM0000046JL02NX_01_0015.html).



8. REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

HINT:
Use the same procedure for the other outer lap belt anchor cover.

  1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.



9. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt floor anchor.

  1. Detach the 4 claws and 2 clips and remove the lower center pillar garnish.



10. REMOVE NO. 2 ASSIST GRIP PLUG LH

11. REMOVE NO. 2 ASSIST GRIP LH

  1. Remove the 2 bolts.

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 assist grip.



12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  1. Move the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster to the lowest position.

  1. Remove the bolt.

  1. Detach the 2 clips and 2 guides.

  1. Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center pillar garnish and remove the center pillar garnish.



13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the nut and shoulder anchor.

  1. Disconnect the pretensioner connector labeled A as shown in the illustration.

  1. w/ Pre-Crash Safety System:
    Disconnect the pre-crash safety connector labeled B.

  1. Remove the bolt and seat belt.



14. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the anchor plate.
