  1. REMOVE REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH

Rear Pneumatic Cylinder (W/ Air Suspension) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. REMOVE REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
  1. Jack up the vehicle and support the frame with safety stands.

    NOTICE:
    1. Perform this procedure with the rear axle assembly lowered.
    2. Perform this procedure with the shock absorber installed.
  1. Disconnect the height control tube (LandCruiser RM000001U54015X.html).

  1. Remove the clip on the top of the pneumatic cylinder.

    HINT:
    If the clip cannot be removed easily, pass a wire through the hole and pull it.

  1. Place matchmarks on the nut and rear pneumatic cylinder.

  1. Remove the nut.

  1. Discharge air from the pneumatic cylinder assembly to cause it to retract.

  1. Remove the rear pneumatic cylinder from the rear axle housing.
