Park / Neutral Position Switch -- Adjustment |
1. REMOVE TRANSMISSION INSULATOR RH |
w/ ATF Warmer:
Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the transmission insulator RH.Remove the 2 bolts and transmission insulator RH from the automatic transmission assembly.

w/o ATF Warmer:
Remove the 3 bolts and transmission insulator RH from the automatic transmission assembly.
2. ADJUST PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY |
While pushing the shift lock release button, move the shift lever to N.
Remove the bolt of the park/neutral position switch assembly.
Clean the bolt and bolt hole.
Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads on the end of the bolt.
- Adhesive:
- Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent
Align the neutral basic line with the groove as shown in the illustration.

Hold the park/neutral position switch assembly in position and install the bolt.
- Torque:
- 13 N*m{131 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}
After the adjustment, perform the park/neutral position switch assembly operation check.

3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION INSULATOR RH |
w/ ATF Warmer:
Install the transmission insulator RH to the automatic transmission assembly with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 14 N*m{143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}
Install the wire harness clamp bracket from the transmission insulator RH with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 13 N*m{127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}
w/o ATF Warmer:
Install the transmission insulator RH to the automatic transmission assembly with the 3 bolts.
- Torque:
- 14 N*m{143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}
