Starter (For 2.7 Kw Type) -- Disassembly |
| 1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.

Remove the 2 bolts.
Pull out the starter yoke assembly together with the starter armature assembly.
Remove the felt washer from the starter armature assembly.
| 2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 3 screws and magnet starter switch assembly.

| 3. REMOVE STARTER CLUTCH SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the return spring, idle gear, clutch roller, retainer and starter clutch sub-assembly from the starter drive housing assembly.

Using a magnet hand, remove the steel ball from the clutch shaft hole.

| 4. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 screws and commutator end frame from the starter yoke assembly.
 |
Disconnect the 4 starter brushes from the starter brush holder assembly.
Using a screwdriver, pull back the brush spring.
Disconnect the brush from the starter brush holder assembly.
 |
Remove the starter brush holder assembly from the starter yoke assembly.
| 5. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the starter armature assembly from the starter yoke assembly.
