DTC P2263 Turbo/Super Charger Boost System Performance


DESCRIPTION

After the engine switch is turned off, the ECM performs turbocharger nozzle vane plate soot removal control (current opening angle→fully opened→fully closed). Monitor the motor drive current value while these opening and closing operations are performed. If the value exceeds the threshold, it can be determined that movement is abnormal. If the system judges that abnormal movements have occurred twice, this DTC is stored, and a message is displayed on the go to service warning light illuminates the next time the engine switch is turned to on (IG).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (DTC P2263)

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

  1. Read the DTCs.

2.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (ACTIVATE THE VN TURBO CLEANING)

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  1. Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature is 77°C (170°F) or higher with all the accessories switched off .

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Activate the VN Turbo Cleaning.

  1. Perform the Active Test.

    HINT:
    1. VN turbo cleaning finishes 20 minutes after the speed increases.
    2. If actions such as depressing the accelerator pedal or operating the shift lever are performed, cleaning control is stopped. If this occurs, it is necessary to perform the procedure again.

4.REPLACE TURBOCHARGER NOZZLE VANE SUPPORT PLATE

  1. Replace the turbocharger nozzle vane plate sub-assembly (LandCruiser RM000005UI8000X.html).

5.CLEAR DTC

  1. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Check that a message is not displayed in the multi-information display.

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes / Clear.

  1. Clear the DTC.
