SFI SYSTEM - Fuel Injector Circuit


DESCRIPTION

The fuel injector assemblies are located on the intake manifold. They inject fuel into the cylinders based on the signals from the ECM.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
1.CHECK FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (POWER SOURCE)

  1. Disconnect the fuel injector assembly connector.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Switch Condition

    C1-1 - Body ground
    Engine switch on (IG)
    11 to 14 V
    C2-1 - Body ground
    Engine switch on (IG)
    11 to 14 V
    C3-1 - Body ground
    Engine switch on (IG)

    Engine switch on (IG)
    11 to 14 V
    C5-1 - Body ground
    Engine switch on (IG)
    11 to 14 V
    C6-1 - Body ground
    Engine switch on (IG)
    11 to 14 V

  1. Reconnect the fuel injector assembly connector.

2.INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY
  1. Inspect the fuel injector assembly (LandCruiser RM000000WQQ0BHX.html).

    HINT:
    for Automatic Transmission
    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the fuel injector assembly (LandCruiser RM000004NJC03SX.html).

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY - ECM)
  1. Disconnect the fuel injector assembly connector.

  1. Disconnect the ECM connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance (Check for Open):
