Fuel Lid Lock Control -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER |
 |
Install the lock retainer and turn it counterclockwise as shown in the illustration.
| 2. INSTALL FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Install the cable and turn it clockwise as shown in the illustration.
 |
Install the cable to the clamps as shown in the illustration.
Install the open lever.
| 3. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY |
| 4. INSTALL QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH |
Install the 2 belt hangers to the trim board.
Connect the power point socket connector.
Attach the 10 clips and 6 claws to install the trim board.

Install the clip labeled A.
Install the quarter trim hook with the screw.
Connect the rear No. 1 seat belt outer anchor.
Connect the anchor with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}
Attach the 2 claws to install the lap belt outer anchor cover.
Connect the rear No. 2 seat belt outer anchor.
Connect the anchor with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}
Attach the 2 claws to install the lap belt outer anchor cover.
| 5. INSTALL BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE |
Attach the 6 clips and 4 claws to install the scuff plate.

| 6. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH |
Attach the 2 claws and 2 clips to install the garnish.
 |
Connect the front seat outer belt anchor's built-in bolt.
Connect the front seat outer belt anchor's built-in bolt.
- Torque:
- 42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}
Attach the 2 claws to install the lap belt outer anchor cover.
 |
| 7. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH |
Attach the 2 clips and 7 claws to install the scuff plate.
 |
| 8. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH |

- Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
| 9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH |
Attach the 3 clips and 7 claws to install the scuff plate.
 |
| 10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH |

- Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
| 11. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY |
 |
Install the console box with the 2 clips, 4 screws <F> and 2 bolts <E>.
| 12. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY |
 |
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the instrument panel lower and console box with the claws of the upper console panel.
Attach the 12 claws to install the console panel.
| 13. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY |

Attach the 4 claws to install the hole cover.
| 14. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY |
 |
Twist the transmission shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow to install it.
for 4WD:
Twist the transfer shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow to install it.
| 15. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH |
Install the rear No. 2 seat (Toyota Fortuner RM000001DOI002X.html).
| 16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH |
Install the front seat (Toyota Fortuner RM000000Z8T004X.html).
| 17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH |
