Hood Reassembly


  1. INSTALL HOOD BUMPER CUSHION

  2. INSTALL WASHER HOSE ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL WASHER NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 HOOD BULGE PROTECTOR (w/ Intercooler)

  5. INSTALL HOOD BULGE (w/ Intercooler)

  6. INSTALL HOOD AIR INTAKE SEAL (w/ Intercooler)

  7. INSTALL HOOD INSULATOR (w/ Hood Insulator)

  8. INSTALL HOOD TO RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

Hood -- Reassembly



1. INSTALL HOOD BUMPER CUSHION
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both hood bumper cushions.

  1. Install a new hood bumper cushion.



2. INSTALL WASHER HOSE ASSEMBLY

  1. Attach the 4 clamps to then connect the washer hose to the hanger.

3. INSTALL WASHER NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both washer nozzles.

  1. Connect a new washer nozzle to the washer hose.

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the washer nozzle.



4. INSTALL NO. 1 HOOD BULGE PROTECTOR (w/ Intercooler)
HINT:
When installing the No. 1 hood bulge protector, heat the hood bulge surface using a heat light.
Standard:
Item
Temperature
Hood Bulge
20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
NOTICE:
Do not heat the hood bulge excessively.

  1. Clean the hood bulge surface.

    1. Using a heat light, heat the hood bulge surface.

    2. Remove the double-sided tape from the hood bulge surface.

    3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

  1. Install a new No. 1 hood bulge protector to the hood bulge as shown in the illustration.



5. INSTALL HOOD BULGE (w/ Intercooler)

  1. Install the hood bulge with the 10 nuts.

    Torque:
    3.0 N*m{31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf}


6. INSTALL HOOD AIR INTAKE SEAL (w/ Intercooler)

  1. Install the hood air intake seal with the 18 clips.



7. INSTALL HOOD INSULATOR (w/ Hood Insulator)

  1. Install the hood insulator with the 15 clips.



8. INSTALL HOOD TO RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  1. Attach the 6 clips to install the hood to radiator support seal.
