Front Seat Assembly (For Power Seat) -- Removal |

- Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Toyota Fortuner RM000000UYX010X.html).
| 2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY |
Remove the front seat headrest assembly.
| 3. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH |
Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.
Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the inner seat track bracket cover RH.

| 4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER RH |
Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the seat track cover RH.
 |
| 5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts.
 |
Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.
Remove the 2 bolts.
 |
Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) and move the seat to the center position, operate the power seat switch (reclining switch) and move the seatback to the upright position, and operate the power seat switch (lifter switch) and move the seat to the uppermost position.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- CAUTION:
- w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Toyota Fortuner RM000004W63000X.html).
Disconnect the connector under the seat.
Remove the front seat assembly from the vehicle.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
