Power Window Control System (W/ Jam Protection Function) Auto Up Operation Does Not Fully Close Power Window (Jam Protection Function Is Activated)


DESCRIPTION

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

RESET FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER SIDE)

CHECK WINDOW GLASS SLIDING MOVEMENT (APPLICABLE LOCATION)

POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Jam Protection Function) - Auto Up Operation does not Fully Close Power Window (Jam Protection Function is Activated)


DESCRIPTION

If the door glass or the front door window regulator sub-assembly (for driver side) does not operate smoothly, the jam protection function may be triggered automatically, resulting in the auto up function being unable to fully close the window.
HINT:
The jam protection function is only available on the driver side power window.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.RESET FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER SIDE)
  1. Reset the front door window regulator sub-assembly (for driver side) (Toyota Fortuner RM000001DJB01KX.html).

  1. Check that the power window auto up/down function operates normally.

    OK:
    Auto up/down function operates normally.

Go to step 2

END (PROBLEM DUE TO RESET FAILURE)

2.CHECK WINDOW GLASS SLIDING MOVEMENT (APPLICABLE LOCATION)
  1. Remove the installation bolt of the door glass and hold the glass by hand. When raising the glass by hand, check that the glass moves smoothly.

    NOTICE:
    1. Make sure that the glass run is not deformed, and that there is no foreign matter on the glass run.
    2. Make sure that the glass run does not have foreign matter attached to it.
    OK:
    Window glass slides smoothly.

REPLACE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER SIDE) (Toyota Fortuner RM000004ROS005X.html)
