Headlight Assembly (For Hid Headlight) Disassembly


  1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  2. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB

  4. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT SOCKET

  5. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB

  6. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET

  7. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

  8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT BRACKET LH

Headlight Assembly (For Hid Headlight) -- Disassembly


CAUTION:
Make sure that the headlight control ECU sub-assembly LH is not connected or hot before disassembling the headlight control ECU sub-assembly.
HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Turn the headlight control ECU sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the headlight control ECU sub-assembly LH.

    NOTICE:
    Make sure that the headlight control ECU sub-assembly LH is not connected or hot before removing the headlight control ECU sub-assembly LH.


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Turn the headlight control ECU sub-assembly LH socket in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and disconnect the headlight control ECU sub-assembly LH socket.

    NOTICE:
    Do not pull the headlight control ECU sub-assembly LH while the socket is connected.


2. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Release the set spring lock as shown in the illustration and remove the discharge headlight bulb.



3. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the No. 2 headlight bulb from the headlight unit LH.



4. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT SOCKET


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Turn the clearance light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the clearance light socket.



5. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB

  1. Remove the clearance light bulb from the clearance light socket.



6. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Turn the front turn signal light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the front turn signal light socket.



7. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

  1. Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal socket.



8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT BRACKET LH


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Remove the 2 screws and headlight bracket LH.
