INSPECT ''SET'' FUNCTION

  1. Push the main switch ON.

  2. Drive at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or higher.

  3. Set the cruise control main switch to SET/COAST.

  4. After releasing the lever, check that the vehicle cruises at the set speed.


INSPECT ''ACC'' (ACCELERATION) FUNCTION

  1. Push the main switch ON.

  2. Drive at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or higher.

  3. Set the cruise control main switch to SET/COAST.

  4. Check that the vehicle speed increases while the cruise control main switch is set to RES/ACC.

  5. Check that vehicle cruises at the newly set speed when the cruise control main switch is released.

  6. Momentarily (approximately 0.6 seconds) tap up the cruise control main switch to RES/ACC and then release it. Check that the vehicle speed increases approximately 1.6 km/h (1.0 mph) with each cruise control main switch operation (tap-up control).


INSPECT ''COAST'' FUNCTION

  1. Push the main switch ON.

  2. Drive at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or higher.

  3. Set the cruise control main switch to SET/COAST.

  4. Check that vehicle speed decreases while the cruise control main switch is set to SET/COAST.

  5. Check that the vehicle cruises at the newly set speed when the cruise control main switch is released.

  6. Momentarily (approximately 0.6 seconds) tap down the cruise control main switch to SET/COAST, and then release it. Check that the vehicle speed decreases approximately 1.6 km/h (1.0 mph) with each cruise control main switch operation (tap-down control).

    HINT:
    The cruise control system automatically cancels when the vehicle speed decreases below 40 km/h (25 mph).

INSPECT ''CANCEL'' FUNCTION

  1. Push the main switch ON.

  2. Drive at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or higher.

  3. Set the cruise control main switch to SET/COAST.

  4. Check that the cruise control system is canceled when performing one of the following:

    1. Depressing the brake pedal
    2. Moving the shift lever to any position except D or 4
    3. Setting the cruise control main switch to CANCEL
    4. Cruise control main switch OFF.

INSPECT "RES" (RESUME) FUNCTION

  1. Push the main switch ON.

  2. Drive at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or higher.

  3. Set the cruise control main switch to SET/COAST.

  4. Check that the cruise control system is canceled when performing one of the following:

    1. Depressing the brake pedal
    2. Moving the shift lever to any position except D or 4
    3. Setting the cruise control main switch to CANCEL
  5. Set the cruise control main switch to RES/ACC and check that the vehicle resumes the previously set speed.

    HINT:
    The RES function does not resume the set speed when the vehicle speed decreases below 40 km/h (25 mph).
