Brake Pedal (W/O Vsc) Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  3. DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  4. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

Brake Pedal (W/O Vsc) -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Toyota Fortuner RM000004W63000X.html).


2. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the combination meter (Toyota Fortuner RM000000THS01WX.html).



3. DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
  1. Disconnect the stop light switch connector.



    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Brake.Brake Pedal (W/O Vsc).Brake Pedal (W/O Vsc)  Removal
  1. Remove the return spring.

  1. Remove the clip and clevis pin.

  1. Disconnect the push rod clevis from the brake pedal.



4. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. for 1KD-FTV, 2KD-FTV and 5L-E with Manual Transmission:
    Detach the connector clamp and clamp from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

  1. Remove the bolt from the support.



    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Remove the 4 nuts and support.
