Brake Pedal (W/ Vsc) Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  3. DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  4. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

Brake Pedal (W/ Vsc) -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
For vehicles with SRS:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable. systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Toyota Fortuner RM000002HD2002X.html).


2. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
NOTICE:
There are 2 types of combination meters. One type has a 40 pin connector and 16 pin connector. The other type only has a 40 pin connector.
  1. Remove the 3 screws.

  1. Disconnect all connectors and remove the combination meter.



3. DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
  1. Disconnect the stop light switch connector.



    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Brake.Brake Pedal (W/ Vsc).Brake Pedal (W/ Vsc)  Removal
  1. Remove the return spring.

  1. Remove the clip and clevis pin.

  1. Disconnect the push rod clevis from the brake pedal.



4. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the bolt from the support.



    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Remove the 4 nuts and support.
