Front Speed Sensor (For 4Wd And Pre-Runner) -- Removal |
- HINT:
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- Other than areas where instructions are provided, use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Toyota Fortuner RM000004W63000X.html).
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL |
3. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH |
Disconnect the connector.
Detach the 2 clamps and connector.
Detach the 2 clamps.

Detach the clamp.

Remove the 2 bolts and 2 harness clamps.
Detach the 2 clamps.
Remove the bolt and harness clamp.
Remove the bolt and speed sensor.
- NOTICE:
- Keep the sensor tip and sensor installation hole free from foreign matter.
4. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR CLAMP |
Remove the bolt and skid control sensor clamp from the knuckle.
