  7. CHECK FOR SPARK

Sfi System -- Basic Inspection


When the malfunction is not confirmed by the DTC check, perform troubleshooting on all circuits considered to be possible causes of the problem. In many cases, by carrying out the basic engine check shown in the following flowchart, the location of the problem can be found quickly and efficiently. This check is essential when troubleshooting the engine.
1.CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE
    NOTICE:
    Perform the battery check with the engine stopped and ignition switch OFF.

2.CHECK IF ENGINE CRANKS

      4.CHECK AIR FILTER
      1. Perform a visual check and make sure that the air filter is not contaminated with dirt or oil.
