RELAY (for Window Defogger) - ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
| 1. REMOVE DEFOGGER RELAY (DEFOG) |
Remove the defogger relay from the engine room junction block.
| 2. INSPECT DEFOGGER RELAY |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 4 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω 3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 4 Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 5 Below 1 Ω
If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
| 3. INSTALL DEFOGGER RELAY |
Install the defogger relay to the engine room junction block.
| 4. REMOVE HWD RELAY |
Remove the HWD relay from the engine room junction block.
| 5. INSPECT HWD RELAY |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 4 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω 3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 4 Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 5 Below 1 Ω
If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
| 6. INSTALL HWD RELAY |
Install the HWD relay to the engine room junction block.
