Install a new seal washer to the bolt.

Check the oil cooler for damage and clogging.

If necessary, replace the oil cooler assembly.

Remove the 3 bolts and screw.

Remove any old packing (FIPG material) and be careful not to drop any oil on the contact surfaces of the timing chain cover, cylinder head and cylinder block.

Coat the relief valve with engine oil and insert the relief valve and spring into the valve hole.

Coat the valve with engine oil, and then check that it falls smoothly into the valve hole by its own weight.

If the valve does not fall smoothly, replace the timing chain cover sub-assembly.

Remove the 8 bolts, screw, oil pump cover, drive rotor and driven rotor.
