Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly (For Rhd) Removal


  1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

  2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly (For Rhd) -- Removal



1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

  1. Remove the 2 clips and 2 screws.

  1. Put protective tape around the radiator grille.

  1. Detach the 6 claws and remove the radiator grille.



2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 3 bolts.

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock.



3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Detach the 3 claws.

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control lever.



4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Engine Hood Door.Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly (For Rhd).Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly (For Rhd) Removal

  1. Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

  1. Detach each clamp and the grommet, and then pull out the hood lock control cable from the vehicle body.



  1. Untie the string from the hood lock control cable.
