  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly (For Rhd) -- Installation



1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Engine Hood Door.Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly (For Rhd).Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly (For Rhd) Installation

  1. Tie the string that was passed through the engine compartment to the end of the hood lock control cable as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

  1. Pass the hood lock control cable through the vehicle body, and then attach the grommet and each clamp.



  1. Untie the string from the hood lock control cable.

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the hood lock control cable to the hood lock control lever.

  1. Attach the 3 claws to install the hood lock control lever.



3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

  1. Connect the hood lock control cable.

  1. Install the hood lock with the 3 bolts.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}


4. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

  1. Attach the 6 claws to install the radiator grille.

  1. Install the 2 screws and 2 clips.
