Front Power Seat Motor Assembly (For Reclining) Removal


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH

  6. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  7. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  8. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

  10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 SEATBACK CLOTH

  12. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

  13. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)

  14. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT WIRE (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  16. REMOVE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Reclining, w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)

Front Power Seat Motor Assembly (For Reclining) -- Removal

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  1. Apply protective tape around the front seat cushion shield.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  1. Apply protective tape around the front seat cushion shield.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Remove the 3 screws.

  1. Detach the claw and guide.

  1. Remove the front seat cushion shield RH with the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield RH.



5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Detach the claw and guide.

  1. Pull the front seat inner cushion shield RH to detach the claw and remove the front seat inner cushion shield RH.



6. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Detach the 4 front seat airbag wire harness clamps.

  1. Disconnect the No. 1 seat wire connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

  1. Remove the 2 screws, 4 bolts and separate type front seatback assembly.



7. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Detach the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.



8. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Detach the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.



9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

  1. w/o Front Seat Side Airbag:
    Disconnect the No. 1 seat wire connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

  1. Remove the hog rings from the wires of the separate type front seatback cover, and then roll up the separate type front seatback cover.

  1. Pass the No. 1 seat wire through the hole of the separate type front seatback cover.



    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Remove the hog rings and detach the strap of the separate type front seatback cover, and then roll up the separate type front seatback cover and No. 1 seatback cloth.

  1. Pass the strap of the separate type front seatback cover through the holes of the separate type front seatback pad.

  1. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
    Remove the nut and detach the separate type front seatback cover bracket.



  1. Remove the hog rings and roll up the separate type front seatback cover.

  1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports and separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.



10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD

  1. Remove the separate type front seatback pad from the separate type front seatback spring assembly.



11. REMOVE NO. 1 SEATBACK CLOTH

  1. Remove the No. 1 seatback cloth.



12. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.



13. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Detach the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.



14. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.



15. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT WIRE (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
    Disconnect the front power seat motor assembly (for Reclining) connector.

  1. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps and remove the No. 1 seat wire.



16. REMOVE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Reclining, w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Detach the 8 hooks and remove the seatback spring.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Detach the 6 claws and remove the push nut from the reclining rod.

  1. Remove the reclining rod.

  1. Using a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 3 bolts and power seat motor assembly (for Reclining).
