REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Reclining, w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)
REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)
REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
Front Seat Assembly (For Power Seat) -- Disassembly |
| 1. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB |
Apply protective tape around the cushion shield.
 |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 2. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the knob.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

| 3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD |
Remove the 2 screws.
 |
Remove the 3 screws.
 |
Detach the claw and guide.
Remove the cushion shield.
| 4. REMOVE FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD |
Remove the 2 screws.
 |
Detach the 2 claws and remove the cushion shield.
| 5. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH |
Remove the 3 screws.
 |
Disconnect the connector and remove the switch.
| 6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH |
Remove the screw.
 |
Pull the cushion inner shield to detach the claw and guide.
Pull the cushion inner shield to detach the claw and remove the cushion inner shield.
 |
| 7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH |
Disconnect the connector and detach the 3 clamps.
Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.
 |
Remove the buckle cover.
| 8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER RH |
Remove the cover.
| 9. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD |
Remove the hog rings.
 |
Detach the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.
| 10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER |
Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover.
 |
| 11. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER |
Remove the hog rings from the wires of the seatback cover. Then roll up the seatback cover.
 |
Remove the hog rings and roll up the seatback cloth.
 |
Remove the hog rings and detach the strap of the seatback cover. Then roll up the seatback cover.
 |
Remove the hog rings from the center of the seatback pad and roll up the seatback cover.
 |
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Remove the nut and detach the seatback cover bracket.
 |
Remove the hog rings from the upper part of the seatback pad. Then roll up the seatback cover.
 |
Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.
 |
Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.
 |
| 12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD |
Remove the seatback pad.
 |
| 13. REMOVE NO. 1 SEATBACK CLOTH |
Remove the seatback cloth.
 |
| 14. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH |
Remove the screw.
 |
Detach the claw and remove the cover.
| 15. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH |
Remove the screw.
 |
Detach the guide and remove the cover.
| 16. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH |
Remove the screw.
 |
Detach the claw and remove the cover.
| 17. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH |
Remove the screw.
 |
Detach the guide and remove the cover.
| 18. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Reclining, w/o Front Seat Side Airbag) |
Detach the 8 hooks and remove the seatback spring.
 |
Disconnect the connector.
Detach the 6 claws and remove the push nut from the reclining rod.
 |
Remove the reclining rod.
 |
Using a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 3 bolts and motor.
 |
| 19. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Slide) |
 |
w/o Front Seat Side Airbag:
Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the airbag wire harness or connector.
Detach the 4 clamps indicated by the arrows in the illustration and remove the seat cushion spring.
Remove the 4 bolts and seat cushion frame.
 |
Put matchmarks on the seat track rail and sliding unit of the seat frame.
 |
Disconnect the connector.
Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 2 of the power seat motor and the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 1 and slide the seat to the foremost position.
 |
Detach the claw and disconnect the connector from the seat frame.
 |
Loosen the 2 nuts.
Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 1 of the power seat motor and the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 2 and slide the seat to the rearmost position.

Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 2 bolts.
 |
Using a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts.
Remove the 2 nuts and front power seat motor assembly with slide cable.
- NOTICE:
- Do not apply excessive force to the slide cable (do not bend the slide cable 60° or more).
Remove the slide cable.
 |
| 20. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear Lifter) |

w/o Front Seat Side Airbag:
Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the airbag wire harness or connector.
Detach the 4 clamps indicated by the arrows in the illustration and remove the seat cushion spring.
Remove the 4 bolts and seat cushion frame.

Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts for the tilt rod.
 |
Remove the nut and tilt rod.
Disconnect the connector.
 |
Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt for the adjust screw.
Using a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 2 bolts and motor.
- HINT:
- When the adjust screw is locked in the uppermost or lowermost position, turn the screw to release the lock before removing the motor unit.
| 21. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH |
Remove the screw.
 |
Detach the 4 claws and remove the lower seat cushion shield.
| 22. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH |
Remove the screw.
 |
Detach the 4 claws and remove the lower seat cushion shield.
| 23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH |
Disconnect the connector.
 |
Detach the wire harness clamp.
Detach the 2 claws and remove the seat wire.
| 24. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEAT WIRE RH |
w/o Front Seat Side Airbag:
Detach the 2 wire harness clamps and remove the seat wire.
 |
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Disconnect the connector.
Detach the 2 wire harness clamps and remove the seat wire.
| 25. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag) |
Remove the 4 bolts and front seatback spring.
 |
| 26. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) |
Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.
 |
Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.
Remove the 4 bolts and front seatback.
 |
