Front Seat Assembly (For Power Seat) -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY |
Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Connect the seat wire connector under the seat.
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Connect the connector.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Toyota Fortuner RM000002HD2002X.html).
Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.
Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
- Torque:
- 37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}

Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.
Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
- Torque:
- 37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}

| 2. INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER |
Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the cover.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage 2 claws.

| 3. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER |
Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the cover.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage 2 claws.
 |
| 4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY |
| 5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT |
Check the SRS warning light (Toyota Fortuner RM000000XFD06DX.html).
| 6. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY |
Check the power seat operation (Toyota Fortuner RM000003REB000X.html).
