DESCRIPTION
The headlight beam level control system warning light in the combination meter comes on for approximately 3 seconds when the ignition switch is turned to ON. The warning light also comes on when the headlight leveling ECU detects a malfunction.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- NOTICE:
- Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
| 1.INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the combination meter assembly (Toyota Fortuner RM000000THS01WX.html).
Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal A-21 and the negative (-) lead to terminal B-22.
Check that the warning light comes on.
- OK:
- Warning light comes on.

Disconnect the C27 combination meter connector.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Disconnect the C28 combination meter connector.
Disconnect the H17 headlight leveling ECU connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
