1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY |

Remove the power window regulator master switch with its connectors still connected.
Measure the voltage of the power window regulator master switch connector.
- Standard voltage:
- for Driver switch:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 4 (U) - 1 (E) Ignition switch ON, driver side power window switch OFF → UP (manual operation) Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V Ignition switch ON, driver side power window fully open → driver side power window switch UP (AUTO operation) → driver side power window fully closed Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V → Below 1 V 9 (D) - 1 (E) Ignition switch ON, driver side power window switch OFF → DOWN (manual operation) Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V Ignition switch ON, driver side power window fully closed → driver side power window switch DOWN (AUTO operation) → driver side power window fully open Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V → Below 1 V - for Front passenger switch:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 13 (U) - 1 (E) - Window lock switch OFF
- Ignition switch ON, front passenger side power window remote manual switch OFF → UP
Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V 15 (D) - 1 (E) - Window lock switch OFF
- Ignition switch ON, front passenger side power window remote manual switch OFF → DOWN
Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V - Window lock switch OFF
- for Rear LH switch:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 12 (U) - 1 (E) - Window lock switch OFF
- Ignition switch ON, rear power window LH remote manual switch OFF → UP
Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V 10 (D) - 1 (E) - Window lock switch OFF
- Ignition switch ON, rear power window LH remote manual switch OFF → DOWN
Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V - Window lock switch OFF
- for Rear RH switch:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 18 (U) - 1 (E) - Window lock switch OFF
- Ignition switch ON, rear power window RH remote manual switch OFF → UP
Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V 16 (D) - 1 (E) - Window lock switch OFF
- Ignition switch ON, rear power window RH remote manual switch OFF → DOWN
Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V - Window lock switch OFF
- If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
Apply battery voltage to the master switch and check that the AUTO light illuminates.
- OK:
Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 6 (B)
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (E)AUTO light illuminates
