Exhaust Pipe Removal


  1. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

Exhaust Pipe -- Removal


CAUTION:
  1. Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe assembly.
  2. The exhaust pipe assembly is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
  3. Confirm that the exhaust pipe assembly has cooled down before removing it.


1. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

  1. Disconnect the tailpipe from the center exhaust pipe and remove the gasket.

  1. Remove the tailpipe from the pipe support.



2. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

  1. Disconnect the center exhaust pipe from the front No. 2 exhaust pipe and remove the gasket.

  1. Remove the center exhaust pipe from the 3 pipe supports.



3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

  1. Disconnect the front No. 2 exhaust pipe from the front exhaust pipe and remove the gasket.

  1. Remove the front No. 2 exhaust pipe from the pipe support.



4. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the 2 bolts from the transmission.

  1. Remove the 5 clips and front fender seal LH.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts from the exhaust manifold.

  1. Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold and remove the gasket.

  1. Remove the bolt, clamp and pipe support from the front exhaust pipe.
