Compressor And Magnetic Clutch (For 1Gr-Fe) Removal


  1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE FAN & GENERATOR V BELT

  4. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

  6. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

Compressor And Magnetic Clutch (For 1Gr-Fe) -- Removal



1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM


2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


3. REMOVE FAN & GENERATOR V BELT


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Air Conditioning.Compressor And Magnetic Clutch (For 1Gr-Fe).Compressor And Magnetic Clutch (For 1Gr-Fe)  Removal
  1. While releasing the belt tension by turning the belt tensioner counterclockwise, remove the V-ribbed belt from the belt tensioner.



4. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose from the compressor.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.

    NOTICE:
    Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.


5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose from the compressor.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.

    NOTICE:
    Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.


6. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Detach the clamp from the cooler bracket.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts, cooler bracket and compressor.
