THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM - Ignition Switch Circuit


DESCRIPTION

When the ignition switch is turned ON, voltage is applied to terminal IG of the theft warning ECU.

NOTICE:
  1. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
  2. When replacing the theft warning ECU assembly, refer to the registration procedures (Toyota Fortuner RM000000Z4Z008X.html).

  1. Remove the ignition switch assembly.

    1. for 1GR-FE: Toyota Fortuner RM0000013XF00AX.html
    2. for 2TR-FE: Toyota Fortuner RM00000135Z00DX.html
    3. for 1KD-FTV: Toyota Fortuner RM0000013XF009X.html
    4. for 2KD-FTV: Toyota Fortuner RM0000013XF01EX.html
  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
