Headlight Assembly (For Halogen Headlight) Removal


  1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  5. REMOVE ENGINE SIDE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  6. REMOVE ENGINE SIDE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

Headlight Assembly (For Halogen Headlight) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

  1. Detach the 6 claws and remove the radiator grille.



2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD


Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
HINT:
Use the same procedures to remove the extension pad on the other side.

  1. Remove the 2 screws and extension pad.



3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Remove the 4 screws.

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.

  1. Partially remove the splash shield.

    HINT:
    It is not necessary to fully remove the splash shield. Partially remove it so that the bumper cover can be removed in a later step.


4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.


5. REMOVE ENGINE SIDE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and engine side cover.



6. REMOVE ENGINE SIDE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.


7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 7 clips.

  1. Put protective tape around the bumper cover.

  1. Detach the 8 claws and remove the bumper cover.

  1. w/ Fog Light:
    Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors.



8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Remove the 3 screws and bolt.

  1. Disconnect the connectors and remove the headlight.
