Rear Lateral Control Rod Installation


  1. INSTALL REAR LATERAL CONTROL ROD ASSEMBLY

  2. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

  3. TIGHTEN REAR LATERAL CONTROL ROD ASSEMBLY

Rear Lateral Control Rod -- Installation


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. INSTALL REAR LATERAL CONTROL ROD ASSEMBLY

  1. Install 2 new bushes to the control rod.

  1. Install the control rod and 2 retainers to the axle housing.

  1. Temporarily install the lateral control rod with the bolt and 2 nuts.



2. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

  1. Lower the vehicle.

  1. Press down on the vehicle several time to stabilize the suspension.



3. TIGHTEN REAR LATERAL CONTROL ROD ASSEMBLY

  1. Tighten the 2 nuts.

    Torque:
    96 N*m{979 kgf*cm, 71 ft.*lbf} for nut B
    100 N*m{1,020 kgf*cm, 74 ft.*lbf} for nut A
    HINT:
    While fixing the bolt labeled C in place, tighten the nut.
